Terms of service.

cartograf is a developer tool that analyzes public GitHub repositories and local project files to map your tech stack. The OSS version is free to self-host under the AGPL-3.0 license. cartograf Cloud adds cross-device sync, account management, and a hosted interface, available by subscription.

You must be at least 16 years old to use cartograf Cloud. You are responsible for keeping your account credentials secure and for all activity that occurs under your account. We use GitHub OAuth — we never store your GitHub password.

New Cloud accounts include a 14-day free trial. No payment is required to start the trial. After the trial ends, continued access to Cloud features requires an active subscription at $12 per user per month.

Subscriptions renew automatically each month. You can cancel at any time from the billing portal in your account settings. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period — you retain access until then. We do not offer refunds for partial months.

You agree not to:

• Use cartograf to access private repositories you are not authorised to read
• Attempt to reverse-engineer, scrape, or overload our infrastructure
• Resell or sublicense access to cartograf Cloud
• Use the service for any unlawful purpose

You retain ownership of your project data. By syncing data to cartograf Cloud, you grant us a limited licence to store and serve it back to you. We do not use your data to train models or share it with third parties. See our Privacy Policy for full details.

The cartograf source code is released under AGPL-3.0. The cartograf name, logo, and hosted service are owned by Exploraworks. Nothing in these terms grants you a right to use our trademarks.

cartograf is provided “as is” without warranties of any kind. We do not guarantee that the service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that tech detection results will be complete or accurate. Use the output as a guide, not as a definitive audit.

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Exploraworks shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of cartograf. Our total liability for any claim shall not exceed the amount you paid us in the 12 months preceding the claim.

You may delete your account at any time from the app. We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms. On termination, your synced data is deleted within 30 days.

We may update these terms from time to time. Material changes will be communicated by email or an in-app notice. Continued use after the effective date of changes constitutes acceptance.

These terms are governed by the laws of Portugal, without regard to conflict-of-law principles. Any disputes shall be resolved in the courts of Lisbon, Portugal.
